Anchored in deep connection to the sea, 'July – Opal Waters' is a contemplative, monochromatic work created with fluid paint mixed with seawater — allowing the tides themselves to leave their mark on the canvas. Layers of indigo, navy, and soft salt-washed white flow and settle naturally, forming their own tidal prints. The palette is intentionally restrained, echoing the endless blues of open water and the quiet rhythms of the shoreline. Part of a year-long series exploring place, memory, and natural cycles, this painting holds July’s essence a month steeped in memories of swimming in the sea.
