This collection of work was created around the Autumnal Equinox in 2022.

Created for Aldeburgh Contemporary Arts, these paintings were made in response to the changes in light and atmosphere during the Autumnal Equinox. The works are a reflection of observations and memories of murky, atmospheric estuary walks. I have used an intuitive process of layering, etching into the paint and deconstructing the surface to create these effects. Some of these outcomes may appear ambiguous, however, I hope that viewers may make their own connections with the work and see a personal narrative through the layers and mark making.
