Unlock your creativity

Art workshops in Leigh on Sea
with Claire Hankey

Welcome to a Creative Pause

In my studios and workshop spaces, I invite you to step away from the everyday and into a moment of quiet discovery. Here, art becomes a gentle invitation to play, to explore, to connect with nature and your own creative voice. Whether you’re new to making art or returning to it after a while, each session is designed to be inclusive, calming and rich in possibility.

What to Expect

A warm, welcoming environment where curiosity and experimentation is encouraged!

Lots of materials, tools and carefully considered processes that elevate your experience and outcome.

Clear, approachable guidance from me, combined with the space to wander your own path gracefully.

A takeaway; a collection of prints, studies or small works that will hopefully inspire you to continue at home!

Here are some of the workshop formats I regularly offer (and you’ll see new dates added throughout the year).

Botanical Printmaking – Beginners
Learn the meditative process of botanical contact printing: real leaves and flowers, textured surfaces, layering and print magic. All materials are provided and you’ll leave with your own nature-inspired prints.

Botanical Printmaking – Next Steps
For those who’ve attended a prior workshop or already have some printmaking experience. Dive deeper into composition, layering, drawing and collage, exploring how you can build your personal visual language.

Relaxing Botanical Drawing
A gentler, slower session using blooms, foliage and quiet observational drawing as your doorway into creative calm. Ideal if you’d like something more relaxed, with time to soak in the moment and let your process evolve naturally.
